Developing a doctoral identity : a narrative study in an autoethnographic frame.

Abstract

The global interest in the production of advanced knowledge workers as one of the drivers of economic growth, has led to questions about the cost and length of time spent in doctoral study. As a result, the pedagogy of doctoral study has come under investigation. Alternative discourses of supervisory practice, learning approaches and
