dc.description.abstractA professional learning community is one of the learning centres recommended by the department of education to provide teachers with skills, teaching strategies and solutions to the challenges they face on a daily basis in schools, especially within the classroom. This research study examines teacher learning of grade 12 Life Sciences teachers in a professional learning community located in the Harry Gwala district. The focus of this study was to examine the professional learning activities grade 12 Life Sciences teachers engaging in a professional learning community. In addition, this study aimed to examine the extent to which the professional learning community serves as an effective professional learning community.en_US
